Go-to-market Strategies To Find Your First (and Most Loyal) Customers

With limited budgets and short runways, early-stage startups need to focus on rapid user growth in order to become profitable and win over investors. The first 100 customers are the most valuable and the hardest to get.
We will look at the best ways to grow an audience and how to turn skeptics and ambivalent followers into the loyal brand ambassadors that will set your product up for growth and scalability. This will be an interactive workshop that directly approaches the problems attendees are facing and will look at specific examples of how successful startups have gained early traction.
The same tactics that startups use for early growth can be used for businesses who are pivoting, or who may have a large, but lackluster audience.
Attendees will leave this workshop with a list of tactics that are unique to their business and brand. They will also start to build a list of the assets they’ll need to define or create in order to start growing their brand and increasing loyalty with fans.

Creating high quality content before designing and developing a custom WordPress site can be the difference between a successful project and one that goes over budget, wastes time and leaves everyone feeling frustrated. Unfortunately, the reality is that clients underestimate the enormous task of writing and editing and aggregating the right content.
After some trial and error, our team at Big Room Studios has worked to incorporate content gathering, writing and editing into every part of the web development process.

Social Media Marketing has obviously taken on a life of its own in the past few years. Many businesses are using social media to reach their target customers. Unfortunately lots of those businesses are leaving money on the table, costing themselves money with avoidable mistakes, and could be saving money if they optimized their campaigns.
This SMBME we will be thinking green... not just because it is St. Patrick's Day but because we want to make money for our businesses using social media.
We are so excited to have Emily Straubel, from Big Room Studios, as a speaker. Emily has worked with lots of companies as a marketing strategist. She is going to talk about social media mistakes she sees companies regularly making that are costing them money.
